USA: Hundreds pay respects at George Floyd's public viewing in Houston

Hundreds of mourners gathered at the Fountain of Praise Church in Houston on Monday to attend the public viewing of the late George Floyd. People were seen queuing the church where they had their temperatures measured before being allowed to enter while wearing masks and gloves due to the coronavirus outbreak. George Floyd was killed during an arrest in Minneapolis on Monday, May 25 after police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on Floyd's neck for almost 9 minutes. A private funeral will take place the next day at the same location as Texas was the long-time home of George Floyd. Protests sparked by Floyd's death have been taking place across the US and around the world.
