USA: Hundreds in DC demand end of 'zero tolerance' after migrant separations

Protesters gathered at the Russel Senate office building rotunda in Washington DC on Thursday to urge the US congress to act against US President Donald Trump's 'zero-tolerance policy' which had resulted in thousands of migrant children being separated from their parents. Activists gathered in a circle and held a prayer, while children sat on the floor wrapped in thermal space blankets... Еще, symbolising the thousands of children separated from their families. Trump's administration has been roundly condemned for its treatment of migrants at the southern border after 2,300 migrant children were separated from their parents between mid-April and May. Trump announced a reversal of the policy to separate children from their parents after he signed an executive order on Wednesday. Activists said Trump's order was not enough as the rally called to end 'zero tolerance' policy at the border.
