Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight fighters Dustin Poirier and Max Holloway faced off in Atlanta on Thursday, ahead of Sunday's UFC 236 title fight.
Referring to the last time the pair met — UFC 143 in 2012 — Poirier (16-4 UFC) said his opponent had had seven years «tightening up those holes» and that this «is a long time to get better.»
Poirier scored a first-round victory back... Еще then, although both have since developed into primetime fighters.
For his part, Holloway (16-3 UFC) said the «number one thing» behind his success was «curiosity».
The two fighters will fight for the interim 155-pound title at Atlanta's State Farm Arena on Sunday, April 14.
