SOT, Journalist: Are you going to get supplies?
SOT, Dean Page and Chloe, Tourists: «Yes, yes, we are, after this we are, like water and food and candles.»
Residents and tourists in Honolulu flocked to supermarkets on Thursday in a bid to prep for Hurricane Lane, a Category 4 cyclone which could be the biggest one to make landfall in 26 years.
According to authorities, Hurricane Lane «could... Еще be devastating», and are urging residents to get food and water supplies for, at least, two weeks.
«This hurricane seems to be serious, so we have prepared, but we have many hurricanes warnings that don't come, so we have prepared many times. I have two weeks food, two weeks water, that I don't need electricity to use», said one resident.
«I'm staying in a hotel and no, I have to say I don't feel prepared, because I haven't got any info about specifically what to do, except keep away from the windows, so, to be honest, if it actually did come, I haven't got the information», admitted one tourist.
Local media said that the storm is approaching the Hawaiian islands at 145 mph and will make landfall from Thursday to Friday.
