USA: Hawaii reopens with no more mandatory quarantine for arriving tourists with negative test

The Hawaiian Islands reopened to tourism on Thursday under the COVID-19 restrictions including obligatory face masks, with thousands of passengers arriving at Honolulu airport. Footage shows passengers waiting for their luggage at one of the airport terminals with cars including taxis queuing outside. According to newly introduced rules, all tourists from the mainland US need to test negative in pre-flight coronavirus tests to avoid quarantine requirements. With a pre-travel coronavirus testing program, the local government hopes to give a boost to the islands' economy as stores, restaurants and beaches have shuttered with a mandatory quarantine for arrivals since March 26.
