USA: Festive Trump tells stores to say ‘Merry Christmas’

US President Donal Trump got into the festive spirit on Tuesday by calling on stores to use the words ‘Merry Christmas’ again. The president was showcasing his new tax plan at the Heritage Foundation's annual President's Club meeting when he denounced department stores for avoiding the phrase. He said: “You know, you go to the store and they have the red walls, and they have the snow, and... Еще they even have the sleigh...They don't have Merry Christmas, they don't have Merry Christmas. I want them to say Merry Christmas everybody, Happy New Year, Happy Holidays. But I want Merry Christmas. We are going to say it again. Trump spoke in favour of a tax overhaul package currently being negotiated by Republicans on Capitol Hill, adding that the average American household income could increase between $4,000 and $9,000 a year. The US President expects the tax plan to ensure that companies «stay in America, grow in America and hire in America» as a consequence of the overhaul.
