Evacuees fleeing the wildfires ravaging the Pacific coastal state of Oregon were seen seeking shelter at the fairgrounds in Salem on Monday.
Footage shows several trailers lined up where people are resting their heads, as well as supplies being brought in.
«Not one siren went off. Not one siren, and that burns my tush, and I want to know why we weren't alerted better, why didn't they go off? Why were we not told that we were in danger sooner?» said Cindy Essmen, one of the evacuees.
The ongoing wildfires in Oregon have reportedly burned more than 900,000 acres in the state, leaving at least 10 dead and forcing thousands to evacuate.
