USA: Erdogan speech's in NYC disrupted as crowd exchanges punches

Supporters and opponents of Turkish President Recep Tayyip broke into a fight as he was giving a speech at a reception in his honour in New York City's Marriot Marquis hotel in Times Square on Thursday. Erdogan was forced to stop mid flow, as his words on the subject of terrorism and condemning enemies of Turkey were disrupted by a fist fight on the floor below him. The fight was reportedly... Еще offset by a demonstrator who shouted «terrorist» at Erdogan. The Turkish leader had been speaking to an audience at the hotel on Times Square at an event organised by the Turkish American National Steering Committee. Erdogan was able to continue with his speech after order was restored. The incident follows a small protest outside of the United Nations building on Wednesday against Erdogan's address at the UN General Assembly (UNGA). The Turkish leader has come under criticism following his crackdown on political dissidents in the wake of June 2016's failed coup attempt amongst others.
