Several of US financier Jeffrey Epstein's alleged victims urged a judge to deny the defendant's bail in New York City on Monday.
Brad Edwards, a lawyer for two of the women said his clients «support the government's position of no bail, both believe not only is that he is a flight risk for the obvious reasons, but also that that is the only way to secure the safety of the community.»
During the... Еще hearing, prosecutors said they found piles of cash and an expired foreign passport, reportedly with Epstein's photo under a different name, in a locked safe at the alleged sex trafficker's home.
The judge said he'd make his decision on Epstein's bail on Thursday.
Epstein was arrested on July 6 and charged with sex trafficking involving girls as young as 14.
