USA: California wildfires largest in state history

Two wildfires, known as the Mendocino Complex fire, doubled in size to become largest in California's history on Monday. The fires spread rapidly in recent days to cover 283,800 acres of land. It has now surpassed last year's Thomas Fire to become the largest in state history. More than 14,000 firefighters are tackling 16 blazes statewide.
