USA: California Governor requests Pres. Emergency Declaration following 7.1 magnitude quake

California Governor Gavin Newsom has requested a Presidential Emergency Declaration from the White House following a 7.1 magnitude earthquake late on Friday. Speaking at a press briefing in Mather in Sacramento County, Director of the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services Mark Ghilarducci noted that the emergency declaration had been requested from the White House «to support our...
