After more than four months of coronavirus lockdown, all fours zoos and an aquarium began to accept visitors in New York City, according to footage on Monday.
The zoos, including Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, Queens Zoo, and Prospect Park Zoo and the New York Aquarium opened to the public with limited capacity.
Visitors at Central Park Zoo could be seen wearing masks and adhering to social distancing guidelines.
«It was very safe, there were, like, just 33 percent of capacity. And everything was super clean,» said visitor, Lisa. Several indoor spaces, including the penguin and bird area were apparently closed, as tickets needed to be reserved in advance.
Zoos were reopened with museums and theatres on Monday, in accordance to some restrictions.
