USA: Aerial views of fissure complex, lava ocean entry in lower East Rift Zone

Helicopter overflight footage filmed on Wednesday shows aerial views of a lava ocean entry and a complex of fissures in Kilauea Volcano's lower East Rift Zone. Lava and ash had erupted from the fissure complex in the lower East Rift Zone earlier on Wednesday. Earlier this week, blue flames of burning methane gas, produced as a result of hot lava burning vegetation, were spotted at the eruption... Еще site of Kilauea volcano. The blue flames could be seen spouting from cracks in the pavement on Kahukai Street in Leilani Estates, while lava spattered from fissures in the background. The Kilauea volcano erupted on May 3, and there is no indication yet as to when the explosive eruptions might end. Mandatory Credit: US Geological Survey, Department Of The Interior/USGS
