A group of diabetic activists prepared to join US Senator and Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders on a caravan from Detroit to Ontario, Canada, on Sunday, to highlight the struggle many patients in the US face paying for insulin
As part of his campaign to become the Democratic nominee for the 2020 US presidential elections, Sanders has promised 'Medicare for All' which would reduce the... Еще price of insulin for those who need it.
«I do have questions for him [Bernie Sanders] about his rollout plan for Medicare for All. I am a supporter of healthcare for all. I am a supporter of affordable medications for all. But I am a little bit worried about the young adults, with his current Medicare rollout plan,» one caravan traveller said.
The trip is organised by members of Insulin4All, a campaign which aims to highlight the lack of affordable insulin for type 1 diabetics in the US. Sanders will join the caravan later on Sunday, as it makes its journey North to Canada.
