USA: A car with Pebble Beach history, 1955 Ferrari previewed ahead of auction

RM Sotheby has previewed its 1955 Ferrari 121 LM Spider, ahead of its auction in the Pebble Beach Councours d’Elegance 2017, in Monterey, on Thursday. The vehicle’s start price is estimated at USD 6,500 million (EUR 5,500 million) and is one of only four 121 LMs built. For Pebble Beach aficionados, it also has the added allure of being the car that Ernie McAfee fatefully crashed into a pine tree... Еще on his 33rd lap of the Del Monte Trophy race in 1956. The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is an automobile charity auction that takes place annually during the end of the Monterey Car week.
