UN: Special Envoy Pedersen warns of 'constant risk of escalation' in Syria

UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen warned about a «constant risk of escalation» in Syria, during a briefing to the Security Council in New York City on Monday. Pedersen reported that violence continues across the country with a «constant risk of escalation which could unravel existing arrangement,» adding that «we must at all costs avoid reversion to the all-out fighting and abuses and...
