UN: Russia rejects media coverage on E. Ghouta as 'mass psychosis'

Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vassily Nebenzya called recent media reports on the situation in Syria's Eastern Ghouta 'mass psychosis', adding that militants there are using civilians as human shields, during a United Nationa Security Council (UNSC) meeting in New York on Thursday. «The Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties urged illegal groups to lay... Еще down arms and formalise their status, but they disrupted the talks yesterday, on February 21,» Nebenzya said. The latest UNSC draft resolution produced by Sweden and Kuwait proposed a 30-day ceasefire across Syria. The proposal was voted on during Thursday’s UNSC meeting, which was initiated by Russia over the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Eastern Ghouta.
