Trump went on to condemn the socialist government of Venezuela calling for the «full restoration of democracy and political freedoms» claiming that Venezuela’s problem, «is not that socialism has been poorly implemented, but that socialism has been faithfully implemented.» During his maiden UNGA speech Trump added, «I will always put America first. Just like you, as the leaders of your countries, will always and should always put your countries first.» Furthermore the US president stated that the US and its Middle Eastern allies are working together to «crush the loser terrorists» noting that together in Syria and Iraq they, «have made big gains towards a lasting defeat of ISIS.» He added, «Our country has achieved more against ISIS in the last eight months than it has in many, many years combined.» Representatives of all 193 UN member states gathered in New York City for the first day of the 72nd UNGA session. The gathering is set to continue until September 25.
