United Nations humanitarian officials have raised concerns about the impact of recent fighting in Tripoli, confirmed UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric in New York on Friday.
«We are continuing to closely monitor developments on the ground in Libya, as fighting continues on the outskirts of Tripoli, with reports of increased use of heavy artillery,» said Dujarric.
«We are concerned about the impact... Еще of these clashes on the already difficult living conditions of ordinary Libyans,» he stated.
Dujarric pointed out that around 10,000 people had fled their homes in areas affected by the conflict.
Local evacuations teams had received requests to move 3,800 people to safer areas, «but only 550 people have been evacuated so far due to access restrictions caused by hostilities.»
