UN: All of Ukraine's woes are being blamed on Russia — Nebenzya at UNSC

Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya addressed the recent murder of Russian journalist Arkady Babchenko during a United Nations Security Council meeting on Ukraine in New York City on Tuesday. «Independent journalists are being killed and the investigation into those things are not being conducted. Today in Kiev, a Russian national, Arkady Babchenko, a reporter... Еще, was killed, literally a couple of hours ago this happened. And we can suppose that now that the Ukrainians will accuse Russia of it,» Nebenzya stated. In addition, Nebenzya accused other members of the Security Council of not wanting a resolution to the Ukrainian conflict. «Some of you do not want a settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. What you do want is a hotbed of stability on the borders of Russia and drawing satisfaction that there is tension in the relations between two brotherly peoples and countries, but you are mistaken in thinking that this is something that will last forever,» Nebenzya added. Russian journalist Arkadiy Babchenko died from gunshot wounds in Kiev, Tuesday. According to the Ukrainian police, the 41-year-old Babchenko was found by his wife in their apartment in the Ukrainian capital. Despite medical assistance, the journalist died from the sustained wounds on the way to the hospital. Arkadiy Babchenko was a Russian citizen employed by the Kiev-based ATR TV channel. The Russian Investigative Committee has opened a criminal investigation into the murder of the Russian journalist in Ukraine.
