Andrey Domansky, the lawyer of RIA Novosti Ukraine editor-in-chief Kirill Vyshinsky, filed an appeal against his arrest to the Kherson City Court, Tuesday. «The appeal was filed, sent by mail and submitted to the Registry of the Court [in Kherson] today as well,» said Domansky. «The main argument is a procedural defect that wasn’t inspected by the court and lack of proof that became the basis of... RIA Novosti Ukraine Editor-in-Chief Kirill Vyshinsky was remanded in custody without bail for 60 days by the Kherson City Court on May 17. Vyshinsky is being held on suspicion of treason and criminal proceedings have commenced under Part 1 Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian Security Service. The crime carries a sentence of up to 15 years.
