Former Georgian President and former Mayor of Odessa Mikheil Saakashvili attended a hearing at the Mostitsky court in Lviv, Monday, where he faces accusations of illegally crossing the Ukrainian border.

«I am going to the country [Ukraine], which I consider as my homeland, where I have lived 13 years and participated in three Ukrainian revolutions,» Saakashvili told the press.
On July 26, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko deprived Saakashvili Ukrainian citizenship. Together with his supporters, former Georgian leader succeeded to break through border control and enter Ukraine. Reportedly, some 22 border control officer was injured in the result of the Mostitsky breakthrough.
The next hearing is set to take place on September 22.
