Police forces clashed with hundreds of protesters outside of the Verkhovna Rada in Kiev on Wednesday. Hundreds of people rallied outside of the Ukrainian parliament as part of a mass protest to demand that a heavier handed approach be taken against government corruption. Police clashed with protesters as they tried to forcibly remove the demonstrators' shields. Several of those who fought back... Еще were detained. Nearly 5,000 people rallied in Kiev on Tuesday, calling for an anti-corruption court to be established, for MPs to lose their immunity from prosecution, and for changes to the electoral system. The rally was attended by former Georgian President and current Ukrainian opposition figurehead Mikhail Saakashvili, who demanded President Petro Poroshenko step down from office.
