Ukraine: Protesters vandalise furniture shop after owners whitewash Euromaidan graffiti

A group of protesters attacked the furniture shop «Emporium» on Grushevsky Street in Kiev, Sunday, in response to the shop owners’ decision to erase graffiti from the Euromaidan demonstrations. The group was seen writing graffiti, smashing front windows and lighting tires in front of the shop, claiming that the owners had destroyed portraits of Ukrainian nationalist activists Taras Shevchenko... Еще, Ivan Franko and Lesya Ukrainka previously emblazoned on the building’s facade. A police patrol soon arrived at the scene and a criminal investigation into the incident is underway.
