Pro-Kiev Crimean Tatars and their supporters gathered on the Ukrainian capital’s Maidan square on Monday, to mark the fourth anniversary of events which led to the eventual secession of Crimea. At the rally, people brought portraits of political prisoners, and missing activists. Crimean Tatar leader Refat Chubarov accused Russia of breaching international law during the reunification. «The... Еще whole world saw how Russia, by order of Putin, brutally violated international law. The whole world saw Russia entering its troops on the territory of another sovereign state,” Chubarov told the assembled crowd. The meeting was organised by the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, the Crimean Resource Center, AutoMaidan and other political and human rights organisations.
