Former president of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili demanded to recuse a panel of judges, partly granted by the Kiev Court of Appeal, at the ruling on his political asylum application, in Kiev, Monday morning. The court postponed the decision on the State Migration Service's appeal against the Kiev District Administrative Court's decision to reject Saakashvili's request for the court to overturn the... Saakashvili launched into a tirade at the two judges and the Ukrainian political elite. «We will continue our struggle through the courts. We will change this system. We will clean up the organised criminal groups that seized power in Ukraine», he promised. Saakashvili went on to accuse Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko of colluding with Russian President Vladimir Putin, stating that «it is a gift to Putin for him to expel me from Ukraine,» adding that «This is a miserable attempt to imitate what Putin and his gang in Russia are doing.» Saakashvili claims that President Petro Poroshenko has ordered the courts to speed up his deportation or extradition. His lawyers say that the former Georgian president cannot be deported or extradited because he is a permanent stateless residents of Ukraine.
