Ukraine: National Corps mark Russian Revolution centenary by burning Lenin effigy in Kiev

The far-right National Corps party set alight to an effigy of former Soviet leader Vladimir Lenin in central Kiev as a means of protesting the celebrations around the 100th anniversary of October Revolution, Tuesday. Before setting the effigy on fire, protesters placed it on the pedestal at Bessarabskaya Square, where Lenin's monument was previously located. Protesters aimed the move «at all... Еще communists and fanatics of the Red Plague» stating that the group opposes any form of «communist propaganda among the Ukrainian population», according to a statement published by the National Corps on Facebook.
