Ukraine: Memorial service marks fourth Euromaidan anniversary

A memorial service was held in Kiev on Tuesday to mark the four years since the beginning of the Euromaidan protests. The attendees placed flowers and lit candles at a monument dedicated to the «Heavenly Hundred», a term used in Ukraine to refer to the 130 activists who died in the unrest. The Euromaidan Revolution reached its peak during February 2014 and culminated in the overthrow of former... Еще Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovych. The wave was followed by the secession of Crimea and ongoing conflict in the eastern, Russian-speaking parts of the country.
