Kiev residents shared their hopes for the future of Ukraine following presidential candidate and actor Volodymyr Zelenskiy's convincing 73 percent victory in the exit polls of the Ukrainian presidential elections on Sunday.
«Now we can hope something will change. We did not have this chance earlier,» one man said.
“We’ll have to wait and see. I cannot say if I am satisfied or not. I am glad... Еще something has changed. Time will show how it will turn out. The most important thing is for the winning candidate to keep his promises,” another man said.
«I am from Donetsk. I would like to see Ukraine at peace. I believe every Ukrainian citizen wants the same,» one woman from Donetsk said.
According to national exit polls, actor-turned-politician Zelenskiy won the run-off round of Ukrainian residential election receiving 73.20 percent of the vote. Incumbent Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko came second with 25.30 percent.
