A member of the feminist activist group 'Femen' stripped off and climbed bare-chested to the top of a statue outside of the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday, staging a political protest as the seventh session of the Ukrainian Parliament's eighth convocation kicked off. After scaling the statue, Femen activist Natalia succeeded in ringing a hand-held school bell for two minutes before she was taken... Еще away by Ukrainian police. Femen dubbed the protest 'The First of September in the School of Corruption', and timed it for the opening of the new political season. Activist group Femen's motto openly declares that 'Weapons are our bare breasts', in fighting social and economic Patriarchy. In keeping with this theme, the words 'School of Corruption' were imprinted across the activist's torso. Inside the Verkhovna Rada chamber, Ukrainian Parliament Chairman Andriy Parubiy opened the session undeterred. MPs are set to consider medical, judicial, education and pension reforms.
