Kherson City Court ruled on Thursday that RIA Novosti Ukraine editor-in-chief Kirill Vyshinsky is to remain in custody until November 4. Vyshinsky condemned the trial, stating that it is politically motivated. “The purpose of all of this is a political action apparently directed towards maintaining of acting government because there is nothing to indict”, he said. He then stated that certain... Еще Ukrainian politicians would like to exchange him for film-director Oleg Sentsov, who faces trial in Russia. Vyshinsky said that he had not received comprehensive medical treatment, despite having been taking to hospital three times. The RIA journalist is being held on suspicion of treason and criminal proceedings, which carries a prison sentence of up to 15 years.
