UK: 'We didn't arrive with the same passion' — Man City's manager Guardiola on Premier League defeat

Manchester City's head coach Joseph 'Pep' Guardiola spoke to media in a video call from Manchester on Thursday night about Manchester City missing their chance for the Premier League gold. «This season we drop points, in the beginning, some unfairly and the other ones because we made mistakes like today and Liverpool didn't drop points that's why it was good,» explained Guardiola after losing their Thursday match 2-1 against Chelsea and thus handing the Premier League championship victory to Liverpool FC, their first league win in 30 years. «Maybe we didn't get, we didn't arrive with the same passion,» he stressed. Guardiola admitted they will have to learn from their mistakes as he praised Liverpool's outstanding performance. «Liverpool won the Champions League being the best team in Europe, and after 30 years now they won the Premier League by playing incredible every single game,» he added. With the Reds winning 4-0 against Crystal Palace on Wednesday, the Manchester squad's defeat granted Liverpool the first league title in 30 years.
