US President Donald Trump hosted a lunch for the so-called 'two-percenters', the nations that have reached NATO's defence spending goal, as the alliance's summit was wrapping up near London on Wednesday.
«We have, unfortunately, a large number that haven't met the goal. Some are very close, and they will be. We've received an additional 130 billion dollars a year. And I guess if you go back three... Еще years, it's perhaps even more than that,» said Trump.
The US, the UK, Poland, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia reportedly reached NATO's two-percent target.
The lunch comes as the two-day summit marked NATO's 70th anniversary. Defence spending, fight against terrorism, arms control, relations with Russia and the rise of China were on the agenda.
