UK: 'Thank you Arsene' — Arsenal Chief Exec Gazidis comments on Wenger's retirement

Chief Executive of Arsenal FC Ivan Gazidis, held a press conference at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium in London, Friday, after Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger announced that he is stepping out of his role after 22 years with the football club. «This has been an emotional day for everyone involved with the football club. And I have now the impossible job of trying to express the feelings of those of us... Еще who love the club and love football,» said Gazidis. Gazidis also underlined the main tasks ahead for Arsenal, not before honouring Wenger: «Arsene often said that his aim was to leave the club in a better position than where he found it. The foundations of this club has never been stronger and this gives me great confidence as we being to chart the path ahead.» Arsene Wenger, 68, was appointed manager of Arsenal in 1996, after spells as coach with French teams Nancy and Monaco and with Japanese team Nagoya Grampus Eight. With Arsenal he won the Premier League three teams, the FA Cup seven times, reaching the final of the Champions League once.
