UK: Super Eagles 'in it to win it' says Mikel before England warm up

Nigeria captain John Obi Mikel was joined by the Super Eagles' head coach Gernot Rohr at a press conference in London on Friday before their pre-World Cup clash with England on Saturday. Nigeria, which is one of the youngest teams to participate in Russia, are planning to use the game to test their final set up for the World Cup. Speaking about Nigeria's chance and its aim, the captain of the National team John Obi Mikel said: «Every country coming into this World Cup wants to win it. That's the reason why we are here, we want to do well, we want to represent our country and make our people proud.» Nigeria has been drawn with Argentina, Croatia and Iceland in Group D, which has been nicknamed the Group of Death due to the stern opposition. Nigeria's first match is against Croatia on June 16.
