The British Transport Police confirmed a 'number' of injuries following an explosion on a train near Parsons Green underground station in Fulham, west London, at around 8:20am on Friday, and that a counter-terrorist operation was underway. The matter has been declared as a counter-terrorist related incident.» Emergency services responded within minutes, employing sniffer dogs and helicopters, as well as six fire engines and several ambulances. The tube’s District Line has been suspended between Earls Court and Wimbledon in west London and the Metropolitan Police say they are investigating the ‘incident’.
