Supporters of far-right activist Tommy Robinson pushed and shoved with journalists reporting on his trial, after he left the Old Bailey court in London on Tuesday. Pushing and exchanging words with camera operators and photographers, supporters apparently tried to stop them from filming Robinson.

Judges gave permission to go ahead with a re-trial for contempt of court after an application from the UK attorney-general. Robinson, who has had a series of convictions, is facing the charge for filming and broadcasting on social media people who were involved in a criminal case.
Robinson accused the system of changing the charges to keep him behind bars. “This is about them finding anything they can to tie me up, to put me back in prison,» he said. «They talk about press freedom, there’s no press freedom in the UK. Not unless you go with the status quo,” he added.
Robinson was already convicted and jailed in the same case in May 2017 for 10 months and then to three more months for breaching a previous suspended sentence. It was cancelled by the court of appeal last August and Robinson was released on bail. The new proceedings may send him back to prison if he is found guilty.
