Hundreds of pro-Scottish independence supporters rallied in Glasgow on Sunday, to demand a second referendum on independence from the United Kingdom.
Protesters gathered at George Square in central Glasgow, waving pro-independence banners and flags and voicing their desire to see Scotland separate from the UK.
For protester Greg McAteer, «Scotland needs to assert its independence. It's been... Еще betrayed by the United Kingdom, abandoned by the United Kingdom. Its democratic wishes ignored by the United Kingdom.»
«Scotland's voice isn't heard within the UK,» said Lesley Crawford another pro-independence supporter.
«Scotland has voted to remain in the EU by a huge margin and have not been involved at all in any discussions about the future of the UK within the EU.»
According to radio host Norrie Hunter, Scotland needs a government that’s operating «not for a party, but for a country.»
In 2014, 55 percent of the people voted against Scotland’s separation from the UK. Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has said that another indy ref will happen at some time in the future, once the UK has achieved clarity over Brexit.
