Residents of the Surrey village of Capel have put together a number of scarecrows dressed as key workers to pay tribute to those employed on the front line of the UK's battle against the coronavirus.
Scarecrows dressed variously as nurses, firefighters and police officers were seen in people's gardens in the picturesque village on Wednesday.
«It's to say thank you, to bring a smile to people at... Еще a time when everyone's really sad. And especially the children,» said Suzie, a local resident. «They don't really understand what's going on so it's nice for them to come and have something to find, look at but also to understand that these people are still working and are keeping our country going,» she added.
