UK: Russian Ambassador to UK urges London to 'be transparent, be honest'

Russian Ambassador to the UK Alexander Yakovenko urged the British government to make public the results of the OPCW investigation into the case of Sergei Skripal, during a press conference in London on Thursday. The «results will be probably presented to the British side, probably in a week. And, what is interesting, it is up to the British side to make it available for the other members of the... Еще organisation. It means that without their consent it couldn't be done,» he said. Yakovenko also commented on the failed OPCW vote on a joint inquiry into the poisoning of the former Russian double agent, proposed by Russia and outvoted 15-6 at an emergency meeting of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons on Wednesday. He noted that those who opposed the initiative were «mostly the countries of the EU and NATO,» adding that they «voted against transparency, they voted against the access to the full and fair information.»
