Anti-war activists protested outside Downing Street in London, on Wednesday, urging British Prime Minister Theresa May to stay out of a possible conflict with Iran.
Member of Parliament Emma Dent, who participated in the protest, tried to hand in a letter for May at the Downing Street gates, but was rejected.
«Despite me being an MP and apparently they were being advised that we were coming to... Еще hand this letter in — we're not allowed in and we're not even allowed to hand it over to the security there. So, I'm going to go back over the road to parliament and put it in a letterbox,» said Dent.
Carol Turner, vice-chair of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament's (CND), pleaded with the British government to stay out of another conflict in the Middle East. «Don't attack Iran, don't follow President Trump to war, to another war in the Middle East. The nuclear agreement was successful, there was no reason to break with it, there is no reason for war, and the British public and the European public will not forgive you for creating one,» she said in an interview.
