UK: Parsons Green tube packed with school children at time of attack — eyewitnesses

Journalist (English): «Did you smell anything burning?» SOT, Eye witness of Parsons Green tube attack (English): «Yes and when we looked back when we got to a safe distance, we saw steam coming off the tube and we have had probably quite a bad cough since, but that's could be the stress and stuff like that, who knows what was in that explosion». I saw, I just have this lasting memory of a baby in a pram with a mum and I just hope they are okay, I hope they are safe». Journalist (English): «Towards the fire bomb or away?» Eye witness of Parsons Green tube attack (English): «More towards it yes». Eye witness of Parsons Green tube attack (English): «Especially this time in the morning it is heavily packed with kids because they get off at Fulham Broadway to their school». Parsons Green tube attack Eye witnesses recalled the moments directly following the explosion, at the London Underground Tube Station, Friday. At least 18 people are believed to have been injured in the attack that took place on the District Line in West London. A passenger on the platform explained, «heavily packed with kids because they get off at Fulham Broadway to their school». He described the panic he felt following the explosion stressing, «you just run, you just don't really think about it, you just run as fast as you can,» he added, «when we looked back when we got to a safe distance, we saw steam coming off the tube». One witnesses stated that he saw injured people including woman and children, «with burns through their face or legs» he noted that they received treatment «but still look in quite a lot of pain». Emergency services responded within minutes, employing sniffer dogs and helicopters, as well as six fire engines and several ambulances. The tube's District Line has been suspended between Earls Court and Wimbledon in west London and the Metropolitan Police say they are investigating the incident which is being treated as a terrorist attack.
