UK: Officers raid Cambridge Analytica offices after data privacy breach

Enforcement officers working for the Information Commissioner's Office raided the offices of Cambridge Analytica in London, Friday, after allegations that the firm was involved in illegally acquiring data and affecting the outcome of the US Presidential elections, among others. The warrant to search the offices of Cambridge Analytica was granted on Friday evening after a five-hour long hearing... Еще at the Royal Courts of Justice. the raid was executed by 18 officers from the Information Commissioner's Office. The raid and investigation comes after Cambridge Analytica was alleged to have acquired the Facebook data of over 50 million Facebook users illegally, which was then alleged to have been used to target and profile voters during elections campaigns, including the election of US President Donald Trump and the EU Brexit referendum, among many others. Pressure has recently been mounting on founder of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg, who has been called to give evidence to UK Members of Parliament.
