UK: Nerve agent attack shopping mall reopens in Salisbury Shops and market stalls in Salisbury’s Maltings shopping area opened on Saturday for the first time since Sergei and Yulia Skripal were found poisoned on a bench there in March. The area was reportedly heavily decontaminated and the bench where the Skripals were found has been removed. While some locals including ‘The Maltings... Еще’ vendors were quite confident about the decontamination procedures and fate of Salisbury after the nerve agent attack, others were not as optimistic. «It is on the back of your mind, you know, are things safe? Is everything is checked?” a local said. Former Russian double agent Skripal and his 33-year-old daughter were found unconscious on the bench in The Maltings shopping centre on March 4. The case was later confirmed to be an assassination attempt by a nerve agent which many countries collectively blamed on Russia.
