The US taxpayer shouldered the burden of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg's «great» breakfast with President Donald Trump on Monday morning.
During an interview at the Atlantic Council summit, Stoltenberg said he had sausages and omelette on brown toast washed down with orange juice — all of which was paid for by the US. He cited it as a tongue-in-cheek example of «fair burden sharing... Еще».
BBC correspondent Lyse Doucet then warned the NATO chief to «be careful» and hoped he brought Norwegian sausages along.
Trump has criticised member states in the past for not spending enough on their defence, leaving the US to foot the bill.
