UK Prime Minister Theresa May will be forced to present a Brexit Plan B within just days if her current deal is voted down in parliament next week, after the House of Commons voted on an amendment in London on Wednesday.
An amendment was tabled by pro-EU MPs after rigorous debate in the House. It passed by 308 to 297, meaning May has just three sitting days to produce an alternate Brexit plan... Еще should her current agreement not pass.
Speaker of the House John Bercow came under fire for allowing the amendment to be voted on, with MPs accusing him of ignoring precedent.
The defeat follows an amendment to the Finance Bill tabled on Tuesday designed to limit the government’s ability to pursue a no-deal Brexit.
