UK: London Eye lit up in Union Jack colours to mark VE Day

The London Eye was lit up in the colours of the Union Jack to mark the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe on Friday. The landmark was illuminated in red, white and blue from sunset as part of VE (Victory in Europe) Day commemorations, which were mainly celebrated 'virtually' due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
