UK: 'In these games City was better' — LFC's Klopp reflects on rivalry

Liverpool FC head coach Jurgen Klopp commented on his team's performance against Manchester City, during a press conference in Liverpool on Saturday. Liverpool lost 2-1 at Manchester City on Thursday, but Klopp said, «I was really fine with what we did there. And we lost, so that's not so cool but, how I said, everybody saw it and it was a very tight game.» «From my point of view, we were... Еще never on level with City since I'm in. We won games against them, since Pep is in especially. We won games against them but in these games City was better,» he added. Klopp was satisfied with his team, saying playing «away at City is the most difficult football game you can imagine in the moment. And we played that and we lost 2-1, yes, but if you have a look at the game I think nobody would have been surprised if it would have been a draw.» Sergio Aguero gave City the lead with a near-post finish just five minutes before the interval. The visitors struck back in the 64th minute thanks to Roberto Firmino's header and looked set to continue their 20 game unbeaten run. It was left to Leroy Sane to provide the game's decisive moment 18 minutes from time, when he fired across Liverpool's goalkeeper Alisson and into the back of the net. The result means City have closed the gap on Liverpool to four points as the title race hots up.
