Thousands of Hindu worshippers paraded through London's West Ealing on Sunday, as part of an annual chariot festival. The festival commemorates the victory of the Hindu god of war Murugan over Surapadma. Worshippers taking part in the procession showed their sacrificial devotion to Murugan by dancing with hooks piercing their backs. Women in traditional dresses also carried pots of offerings... Еще on their heads. The procession was organised by the Shri Kanaga Thurkkai Amman Temple. Several roads in West Ealing were closed due to the procession.
