UK: French flag captured by Nelson displayed for first time in 100 years

Norwich Castle opened its doors for a private viewing in Norfolk, Friday, ahead of a major exhibition dedicated to Lord Nelson, one of the British Royal Navy’s key commanders during the Napoleonic Wars. Among the artefacts on display was a French Tricolour flag, presented by Nelson to Norwich following its capture during a battle in 1800. The flag was taken from a French fleet ship named Le... Еще Genereux and is reportedly one of the oldest Tricolours in existence. The exhibition will also display paintings, clothing and posters from Nelson's era, as well as the bullet that killed the admiral.
